From the provided diagram, we can clearly see the ECAP team positioned at the center of the entire business ecosystem. This diagram illustrates a typical ODM (Original Design Manufacturer) business model.
The ECAP team develops Edge AI ODM modules and provides them to ODM customers. On the right side of the diagram, we can see Foxconn as a key component of the ODM supply chain, responsible for manufacturing the finished products. These products are likely smart TVs or IPTV devices, as shown in the diagram.
On the left side, we can see China Channel Partners, including IPTV and cable operators. This indicates that ECAP's technology is ultimately distributed to the market through these channels.
The diagram also shows elements such as "Platform as a Service" and "Licensing Agreement," suggesting that ECAP not only provides hardware modules but may also offer related platform services and licensing.
Overall, this business model allows ODM customers to incorporate ECAP's technology into their own branded products, which are then produced through supply chain partners like Foxconn and ultimately sold to end consumers through channel partners.
We provide comprehensive ODM (Original Design Manufacturing) and EMS (Electronics Manufacturing Services) solutions, starting from the Industrial Design (ID) phase through to small volume production and large-scale mass manufacturing. Our services cover the complete product development lifecycle, including critical development stages such as EVT (Engineering Validation Test), DVT (Design Validation Test), and PVT (Production Validation Test).
As an ODM service provider, we focus on creating unique and customized product designs for our customers. Our design team offers highly tailored solutions based on your brand identity and target audience requirements. From initial concept to detailed industrial design, we ensure each product meets market demands and aligns with your brand values.
EVT (Engineering Validation Test): In this phase, we produce approximately 20-50 sample units to ensure all parts fit correctly and the product performs its core functions. This is the critical stage where looks-like and works-like prototypes are combined. Our engineers are fully involved as this is typically the first time a manufacturer is assembling the product.
DVT (Design Validation Test): After completing EVT, we move to the more rigorous DVT phase, typically requiring 50-200 units. During this stage, products undergo various stringent tests (such as impact, heat, humidity). We also ensure the product meets required certifications (such as FCC or UL) and optimize production tools and techniques for consistent manufacturing processes.
PVT (Production Validation Test): This is the final stage before official production, usually producing 5-10% of the first batch volume. During PVT, we establish complete quality assurance (QA) and quality control (QC) procedures, ensuring the product can be produced at scale for the target cost. This is the last opportunity for final adjustments, and validated units can be included in the first batch of products for sale.
Small Volume Production: We excel in high mix low volume (HMLV) manufacturing, capable of producing various small-batch electronic products, providing flexible production solutions for customers with unique and specialized requirements. Futaba Electronics' EMS services support low volume, high variety production models, meeting small batch production needs.
Large Scale Production: We also have the capability to handle large-scale high volume production, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing of high-quantity standardized products. Our manufacturing team has advanced production equipment and extensive supply chain management experience to support production needs ranging from small batches to large scale.
Through our ODM and EMS services, customers can optimize costs, streamline production processes, benefit from comprehensive supply chain management, and ensure high quality and compliance for their products. Our goal is to be your reliable partner throughout the product development and manufacturing process, helping you bring innovative products to market in the most efficient way.
